![]() ![]() I also recently ordered the vegetable maki platter - my first time getting sushi only - and I have to say that I was disappointed in the flavor. The "dinner box" comes with chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura (actually 2 strips of shrimp accompanied by tempura veggies not listed on menu: onion ring, squash, sweet potato), fried shumai (tasty, but tiny), 4 small pieces of California sushi, plus a tasty miso soup and a salad. Bento box specials are tasty and freshly made and nicely presented - although, when I got the chicken teriyaki in their "dinner box", I wish they had offered some plain white rice too, but there was some sushi, so I guess that was the rice component. The pan Asian dishes have been good - I especially love their Pad Thai (which can be your personal barometer for picking this as your favorite Asian food place in general). I've eaten here once or twice and also gotten take-out. Food-wise, SushiO is by far one of the best places I've been!) (For perspective, I am a sushi fanatic and have been everywhere - from hole-in-the-wall places in Japan to super fancy lounges in NYC and LA. Try their "special rolls" - they are quite large and have some very creative ingredients. The service is great, the sushi is super fresh, the portions are quite generous and the price is very reasonable (definitely one of the least expensive places in this area). The atmosphere inside is very lounge-like and modern. We've been hooked ever since! I've brought all of my friends and family here and, everyone agrees that this is by far the best sushi restaurant around (My future sister-in-law comes up from Delaware especially for this place!). As it turned out, the restaurant had just opened 3 days prior and we were one of their first customers. As we were driving down route one, we saw a big sign that said "SushiO Grand Opening" We were hungry and decided that we'd stop by and try this new place. ![]() 2-3 years ago, when my favorite Sushi place in the area started slowly swirling down the crapper, my fiance and I started our search for a new favorite Sushi place. ![]()
